Sweet Little Cafe in Griffith offers a relaxed spot for locals and visitors looking to enjoy solid coffee and simple, satisfying meals without fuss. This cafe thrives on its friendly, down-to-earth vibe, making it a comfortable choice whether you’re dropping in for a morning flat white or lingering over lunch on the sunny terrace.

The outdoor seating is a clear draw, especially on bright Canberra mornings when the terrace catches the sun just right. It’s a popular place for dog owners, providing a laid-back atmosphere where pets are welcome and the pace slows enough to enjoy some fresh air and good company. The casual seating areas work well for a quiet moment alone or a low-key catch-up with friends.

Coffee is a highlight here, with customers appreciating the consistent quality of their flat whites and cappuccinos. The owner’s knack for remembering regulars’ orders adds a personable touch that helps this cafe feel like a community hub rather than just another caffeine stop. This attentiveness also extends to the menu, which focuses on straightforward, hearty options ranging from all-day breakfast staples to classic sandwiches and wraps.

  • Breakfast items like the steak sandwich and eggs benedict provide reliable, unfussy choices.
  • Fans of savory bites will find the bacon and egg roll and big breakfast comforting and filling.
  • For those wanting lighter fare, granola bowls and smashed avocado on toast offer healthier alternatives.

Sweet Little Cafe slots neatly into the Griffith shops precinct, making it a convenient spot to grab a bite while running errands or meeting friends. Mid-mornings and early afternoons on sunny days are some of the best times to visit, especially if you want to take advantage of the terrace seating. Whether you’re a local dropping by regularly or a traveler passing through, the pace here encourages easy conversation and simple pleasures—good coffee, decent food, and a space to relax.

We had an excellent breakfast up on the terrace. Lovely to sit in the sun and our dog Suki had a great time. Great coffee and friendly service

Honestly a great place for a coffee and a bit of food. I don't go often but the owner always remembers my coffee order. Very impressed. Definitely worth a visit!

Randomly visited this place. Turned out to be much better than the other coffeeshops around here. Got a nice terrace to spend the morning/afternoon on. Coffee and food are also decent.

If you’re looking for a fantastic cafe on the south side of Canberra, you cannot go past the Sweet Little Cafe at the Griffith shops. Fantastic coffee and a variety of delicious cafe style food choices with amazing staff led by the owner Polly. Her recall of customer’s orders and conversations that she has had with them is amazing. I do not know how she does it, and am very envious of her abilities. There is a variety of seating available, from cosmopolitan style out on the street, where you can keep an eye on the local goings on, to various seating options inside the cafe. There is also an outdoor veranda area upstairs out in the back of the cafe that has a sunny aspect overlooking a local park. So look no further than the Sweet Little Cafe, it’s the sweetest spot in town and I think that you will be pleasantly surprised and quickly become a regular like myself.

A cafe I frequent whenever I'm at the shops and defiantly a must visit if your in the area! The coffee is always fantastic and the Owner and staff are some of the nicest people! The food options here are also great and diverse! The pastry selection is top notch, the best place to grab a pie in the area! This cafe is also dog friendly so you will sometimes see a furry friend!

Cute little cafe tucked in a little building. Staff seem nice and very attentive. Their coffee and brekkie wrap tastes great and I'd go back again for them. The brekkie wrap is well-seasoned and packs a lot for its price, with the hash brown inside being a nice addition. However, their hamburger leaves a lot to be desired. Not as much meat as I hoped, and it tastes like an average tuckshop burger - very average for $22 and I was still a bit hungry after (luckily my partner gave me a bit of her brekkie wrap). For that price, I could get a double cheeseburger from Brodburger in Kingston.
